Maggie Looke is an award-winning comedy writer, director and producer who has worked for over a decade in the comedy and television industry.
Her work has been seen on high-rating series such as Hard Quiz (ABC TV), Have You Been Paying Attention? (Network 10), At Home Alone Together (ABC TV), The Project (Network Ten), Aaron Chen Tonight (ABC TV), The Yearly with Charlie Pickering (ABC TV) and more.
Her 2015 directorial debut The Tokyo Hotel was nominated for The Golden Gibbo Award. It was later turned into the cult hit ABC Comedy podcast The Tokyo Hotel. Directed and co-written by Maggie, the show reached number one on the iTunes comedy charts.
Maggie frequently guests on top comedy podcasts such as Aunty Donna, Don’t You Know Who I Am? and Phone Hacks.
Winner of the 2022 Moosehead Award at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Maggie has written and produced several innovative live comedy shows touring internationally. Her recent collaboration Ultimate Hollywood Tours sold out at the Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festivals and an encore season.
Most recently Maggie co-wrote and directed Ben Russell’s Director’s Choice-winning 2024 self-titled festival show. The Age described her work as ‘Unlike anything even the most seasoned festival-goer will have seen before’.
