Davey Simmons is a marketing manager and content specialist based in Naarm, Melbourne. With over ten years of digital marketing experience working for the retail and performing arts industries, he is passionate about working closely with artists and finding innovative and creative ways to connect audiences with the work they create.
Davey currently works as a Digital Content Strategist, providing social media advertising services for national and international touring commercial theatre productions, including & Juliet, The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale, and Beetlejuice The Musical. Previous roles include Head of Marketing at Malthouse Theatre where he led the company’s marketing and audience strategy, including the Season program, Malthouse Outdoor Stage, and Comedy Festival at Malthouse. He also served dual roles as Content & Community Strategist and Digital Content Producer at Arts Centre Melbourne, where he pioneered a new approach to social media advertising and content development for digital platforms. In a consulting capacity, Davey has also worked with Sydney Opera House, Circus Oz, Federation Square, TEG Dainty, The Wheeler Centre, and Melbourne Theatre Company to provide strategic marketing services and produce digital content.
