Make the deal without the drama

You don’t need to be a lawyer to read a contract — but as a producer, you do need to understand what you’re signing. Whether it’s working with an artist, locking in a venue, or teaming up with another producer, having a clear agreement makes everything easier.

In this workshop, we’ll unpack the basics of what should go into a deal — in plain language. We’ll walk through common terms, how to spot red flags, and the things that often get missed (like who owns what, how fees are split, and what happens if plans change).

We’ll also chat about how to have these conversations without the awkwardness — so you can ask the right questions, set boundaries early, and feel more confident in negotiations, even if you’re just getting started.

This one’s for anyone who’s ever said “sure, sounds good” without really knowing what they just agreed to. Let’s fix that.
